“Sintel” is an independently produced short film, initiated by the Blender Foundation as a means to further improve and validate the free/open source 3D creation suite Blender. With initial funding provided by 1000s of donations via the internet community, it has again proven to be a viable development model for both open 3D technology as for independent animation film. This 15 minute film has been realized in the studio of the Amsterdam Blender Institute, by an international team of artists and developers. In addition to that, several crucial technical and creative targets have been realized online, by developers and artists and teams all over the world. www.sintel.org

There are lots of options that you can find when you are going to select for the kind of movie that you would watch. In line with this, movie preview trailers are made in order to help us to select the best film that would suit our taste. Movie preview trailers are shown in television also as a form of advertisement. The trailers that are seen in the television are not yet in cinemas. This way you can get information about the movie and you will know which film is the one that will get your interest. You can get the information such as the staring actors and actress in a specific film. The movie preview trailer also aimed to give you the highlights of the story and this can give you hints if you will like the film.

The use of trailer can also be shown in cinemas. They are seen before or after each movie and this is a form of a good advertisement. In most of the cases the movie trailers are giving much importance by the producer as this is where people will based their opinion and film choice. If the movie has a good trailer they will surely get the attention of many people.

There are great movies that are so intriguing and emotional that the film itself makes the actors stand out more than they would in say an independent or low budget film. The bigger the movie, the more popular an actor can become. Take for example Nicolas Cage. There are times when Cage offers award-winning performances and times when it seems like he’s just reading a script to get through a huge-budget film and land the big paycheck. I’m sure plenty of actors would not pass up millions of dollars simply to not star in a cheesy film like Ghost Rider but are they wasting their talent?

Think about Cage’s performance in Snake Eyes and Wicker Man. Now think back on his heart-wrenching display of raw talent in Leaving Las Vegas or his one-man show in Adaptation. This guy has serious talent but so many people out there see him as a poor actor because he has starred in so many “paycheck” movies!

What on earth has happened with Robert DeNiro? Here is one of America’s most famous actors of all time, pumping out some serious skills in countless award-winning movies like Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, The Godfather, Casino, Goodfellas, Awakenings, This Boy’s Life… the list goes on forever. Don’t get me wrong, DeNiro is spectacular in every movie he’s in, good or bad, but even he seems to be choosing to star in films that are borderline insignificant. I was initially surprised to see him star in a comedy when he did Analyze This and feared it might be down hill from there, but he pulled through with this film and did a phenomenal job in Meet the Parents, but what about Everybody’ Fine, Showtime and 15 Minutes?
